The CSIC participates in “CULTURGAL 2017” for the sixth consecutive year

The Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC in spanish) participates in CULTURGAL 2017 with the initiative “Seahorse: a very unique family”, promoted by the Scientific Culture Unit of CSIC in Galicia with the support of the Marine Research Institute through the Group of Biology and Larvaria Fisiology of Fishes. The activity, aimed at the general public, aims to enable participants to discover how seahorses and pipefish live. The aim is to provide information on the main syngnathid species that inhabit the Galician coasts, to show society the ecological richness of the estuaries and to value the work of research groups working on the conservation of marine biodiversity. The workshop is completed with an exhibition of sheets of syngnathids from the Galician coasts. It will take place today, Friday, December 1, and tomorrow, Saturday, December 2, at the Espazo Infantil from 11.00 to 12.30.

 

This initiative of the CSIC in CULTURGAL joins the participation of CSIC staff in the UCC of Galicia, the IIM and the IIAG in the scientific point promoted by the Galician Association of Communication of Scientific and Technological Culture. It will be on Saturday, December 2, from 11.00 1 to 1.00 pm at the Espazo Infantil.

 

CULTURGAL, which is on its tenth edition, begins today, Friday, December 1, and concludes on Sunday, December 3. All activities take place in the Pazo da Cultura of Pontevedra.
